Salon Snob’s owner Jordyn Olawumi is a renowned hair designer with clients in multiple markets besides Chicago. Jordyn offers a host of pampering services ranging from hair couture to makeup application. Currently, she is featured on WCIU’s “The Jam” Monday Makeovers live tv segments.
Jordyn has had the privilege to work with celebrities such as: Katie Couric, Caroline Rhea, Star Jones, Paula Poundstone, Judge Faith Jenkins, Dr. Ava Shamban, Joe Soto, El Debarge, Anne Coyle, Sandra Lee, and Ellen Rakieten. Also, News anchors such as Kye Martin, Zoraida Sambolin, Ginger Zee, and Alicia Roman. Through hard work and perseverance her list of accomplishments include working on high profile photo shoots and fashion shows (including New York fashion week 2012), made an appearance on The Tyra Banks Show, apprenticed under a Vidal Sassoon lead trainer, built a reputation as one of Chicago’s top colorists, became a lead stylist at the Palmer House Hilton, and was featured in local and national magazines.
In 2014, at the Midwest Emmy’s, she was featured as the lead hair designer who performed hair services for the talented nominees. Away from the lime light, she channels her experience and skill into tending to client’s manes at her own salon. She transforms her clients’ hair with global keratin products, color treatments, and blowouts. She also adds length and volume to hair with ‘She’ hair extensions, and fashions elegant up-do’s for weddings, soirées, elite private events or any special occasions. Whatever the case may be or the beauty service desired, you will find yourself relaxed and beautified in this cozy chic salon or during an ‘on location’ reservation, while in the hands of pure talent.
